I am planning to do a few days exploring the Kentucky Adventure Tour ( Kentucky Adventure Tour (KAT) | Facebook ) this weekend with my new (and soon to be deflowered) '23 Wildtrak. I plan to take GoPro video and photos and will post here for those who are interested.

Thanks! Just to clarify, the KAT includes the DBBB, but is approximately a 1,000 mile loop in KY, TN, WV and VA.

I punted my trip as the area got a ton of rain in the last 48 hours. Anyone interested in a future trip on the KAT?

The KAT isn't entirely off-road. Parts are scenic byways that connect to other trails off-road. All you want to know on the Kentucky Adventure Trail/Tour.

I think it's about 40% country paved roads and 60% gravel/trails.

There’s a small group of us going to red river gorge on the 28th of this month. We’re going to run Spaas Creek , Pumpkin Hollow and New Virginia Rd, all parts of the DBBB. Meeting at the rest stop right off the Slade exit at 9am if you or anyone’s interested.

Sounds about right. I would encourage anyone that is interested in undertaking it is to not just check the route as complete in a weekend. Take your time and break it up. i.e. Northern Loop in a day and pull off and explore. It passes through the RRG area and it is fantastic for hiking.

The KAT is kinda boring because it’s mostly just gravel roads the DBBB is way more fun. Here’s a link for info if you haven’t seen it.
