Anyone tried to install the 48CWRT674 in the kick panels?

I am an amature so forgive my ignorance if I am missing something obvious.

Key500.1 with two 48CWRT674 in the kick panels.
KEY200.4 with 4 KSC40 in the pods and on the dash.

(The Key500.1 amp is a little more power than the subs can handle so I would need to be careful not to overload them)

Stock.
I would like to stick to 1-1.5k.
I was an aircraft mechanic for ten years. I can do anything electrical or mechanical. However, I went with a lease so I cant do anything I cant reverse. I will probably buy it but for now I am limited by that.

Might fit, might need a spacer of some sort.

As long as you're not destroying big, expensive plastic parts, etc. they just adjust the value when you turn it in at lease-end, if you do. Most things are not major, especially, with a Ford Red Carpet lease(or whatever they call it now).

Plugnplaykits has some great solutions, fyi.

It’s feasible mechanically but arguably not a great idea sonically. The Key limits frequency range to about 20-160hz. You’d want those sub way above 20 so let’s say 40hz lowest. Those dash speakers will be working really hard to reproduce all the way down to 160hz. At volume, a 4” speaker just didn’t have the power handling capability or cone surface to produce lows. Your best bet is bi-amp the Key to the front using a good mid in the kick and a good coax in the dash. Then use a 6.75 in the OEM sub box with the Key 500. You can find somebody’s takeout 6.5 pretty cheap if your model doesn’t come with one. That would make removing it to return your lease nice and easy.

Just don’t use the key to power both the pods and your kick panels and dash combined. I’ve been on a soapbox about it for a day if you’re interested in the thread around here.

B&O ? This make it more complicated....

Plug and play harnesses avail no need to alter OE wiring.

Think I spent about 2k for the PlugnPlay harness, an eight-channel Musway DSP, 2-channel Musway amps to drive the sub, and all six speakers + sub. Very satisfied with the result. An aircraft mechanic could put it all together with no problem.

I don't believe the kick wells are deep enough for a proper sub.

Plenty of plug and play setups for sale, or to use for inspiration, and easy to follow install guides.

I did the full 200.4 / Kicker KS / SSV pods upgrade. And the 500.1 amp bundles (installs under driver seat). And upgraded to a gearshade box and CompRT 8" in the $1.5-2k range

Very nice set up.
Its not difficult most of it is plug and play with correct harnesses from IData Maestro etc and common sense mounting and wire routing and protection.
Tuning DSP takes time firstly for the speakers break in period then afterwards, plus seemingly endless tweaking.
Be sure that your amps have decent convection airflow opportunity I like to mount them in 1/4" spaces to start with at least 2" airspace around them in a space with lots of panel gaps etc, or install a small fan (laptop kind) to assist.

Thanks everyone.
Probably going to go with the basic KEY200.4 kit from plugnplaykits for now. See what that sounds like and maybe add a sub later.
