Update on my Mag Lite issue. PROBLEM: Molle mounted D cell Mag Lite flashlight rattled terribly so I took it off the molle and stored it underfloor. SOLUTION: Shimmed the batteries inside the tube with a strip of business card thickness paper on one side of the batteries which eliminated all rattles. Remounted the flashlight on the molle panel in vertical position for easy access. As a bonus it can provide on demand light to the cargo area while still mounted.

Looks fantastic! I'm so glad that stopped the rattle. I plan to keep a D cell in the back and a small LED in the front.

I guess I'm a flashlight whore or maybe just afraid of the dark. Got a couple of other smaller flashlights & a headlamp in the back molle bags and another flashlight up front along with a cordless handheld spotlight.

This whole thread is making me thirsty. Thank you for sharing your build. Very impressive work on the DIY vinyl.

I didn’t catch if you tinted the front windows. I saw some DIY tint kits posted recently. That would give your Kraken that dark eye look.

The cargo space build looks great too!

Tippin some Kraken on a Tuesday!

Thanks Eric, I have not tinted the windows. I keep going back & forth on tint. It was originally the first thing I was going to do when I got the Bronco, but never did. My hesitation is because I do a lot of driving in the dark coming & going from hunting and on dark trails in the winter, so I'm not sure I want the windows darker. I have to say I love the look of tinted windows... hmmmmm.

Got some great gear from Moose Knuckle Offroad. Ordered a Jowl 3/4 Split Shackle & Mohawk 2.0 Receiver combo. The Mohawk receiver has smooth edges so you can use soft shackles as well. Lots of color options... I got a gun gray split shackle and a pill blue receiver. High quality products and great customer service. Highly recommend.

Jowl split shackle, which allows you to hook up without removing the shackle vs. standard shackle.

Made a couple of round trips to Nashville... getting 19.2 mpg in Normal Mode, mostly highway & interstate cruising 70-75 mph, except for metro Nashville traffic. Came out to this parking lot and I was surrounded by 4 door Broncos. We had a little red, white, & blue statement going... USA!!!

I managed to get some back up lights installed between rain showers... still need to wire them. They will be wired to AUX switch 6 only. Two HELLA Black Magic 6.2 inch light bars tucked in on either side of the hitch. Drilled & mounted straight to the bumper with a couple of large washers as backing plates on the backside. I wanted the lights in the back to be bumper mounted so they would also provide lighting directly in the rear area with the tailgate open or closed. If these don't "tickle my fancy" I'll definitely go with a couple of flush mount lights.

Hi!
Thinking about doing this (unless I decide to wire the trailer connection). How functional are they? Light output too much or enough? I have the 20" light bar up front and was amazed by the light output and price.

Thanks.!

More than enough light... maybe a little overkill, if there is such a thing. One puts out plenty of light, but with two I have each of them aimed out to the side a little. I liked the shape as opposed to a pod light, kinda mimics the backup light in the Oracle tail lights, only horizontal.
