After owning my truck for a few weeks I noticed that the driver seat appear to be peeling where my right thigh would be. I don’t wear anything crazy. No cargo pants or shorts that have buckles. Has anyone seen anything like this? The dealer is claiming it is an abrasion, but I have no idea what would cause something like this. I assume I’m just out of luck.

Thats sucks. Something sharp looks like it did that. Buttons on your pants? Ends of a waist rope that you sat on? The reason I say that is because of the two lines that are pretty clear. If it was from your leg rubbing (flat pants or skin) and it were a defect, You wouldnt see lines like that. It would be more spread. Is it peeling or just marks? Can always do a seat cover? Katskin.

What two lines are you seeing. I don’t see any sort of pattern in this that resembles anything. If I saw a straight gash or two I could probably justify that maybe someone did this. But again I I don’t wear anything that would cause this.

Looks like abrasion to me too. Could have been you, could have been a tech.

Shoe polish can help hide it, or get covers... Leather is going to patina anyway, yours just got an early start.

It looks like abrasion. A bit of leather cream should help blend it back in.

Mike I had a similar mark appear on my passenger seat last summer, it was from a passengers sweaty leg.
I did what Thomas @Theherofails suggested above. I used Chemical Guys leather cleaner and then their leather conditioner and it was gone.

Do you need anything on than the cleaner and conditioner?

That is all I use on my leather seats. I use a micro fiber, wipe it down with the cleaner and then follow that with the conditioner. You will probably have to massage that one spot a touch more than the rest of the seats. That is if you plan on doing the whole set of seats. Your ride is so new you wouldn't have to though.
