Moab Suggestions

I'm planning on being in Moab in June (yes, I know I'll miss the big Bronco event) and was looking for some suggestions of what to see, which trails to try and where to stay.

I'll be by myself in the 4dr Badlands so I was thinking of just sleeping in the back. I'll be there for just a couple days before heading to the east coast.

• What permits do I need?
• Can you camp anywhere or only in designated areas?
• I was thinking something like Fins and Things as one of the trails to try. I'd like to do Hells Gate but that might be too much. My off roading experience lately is just the Off Roadeo.

I'll just have the basic camping necessities. Food, water, fridge and will hit a hotel afterwards to remove dirt and sweat.

I'm going May 29th-June 2nd. I plan on doing all the famous trails along with a visit to Canyonlands NP and maybe Arches NP

You will need a camping reservation most BLM land near Moab. If you go 15 miles north or south there will be places you can camp for free anywhere on BLM. Reservations: Reservations.gov

Pro tip, if all you need is a shower, the city pool near downtown is cheap and has clean showers. We stop there to beat the heat and get cleaned up, no hotel needed.
