Personally, it’s Baja Designs or bust for me! They make the best lights in the game.

Excellent question! Lux is a measure of the photons that fall on a particular surface, while lumens is the total measure of all photons that are released from the light source. Ultimately, it‘s about the optics, and how much of the light coming off the diode (source) that the manufacturer can focus into the beam (whether it’s a spot, or wide) and is measured at a point in the beams path. That is why the Morimoto 4Banger has only 3 LEDs but compares itself to “4” LED assemblies. Their optics are far more efficient at directing the “Lux” capability of the diode and directing those photons to the intended target / beam pattern. The simple example is a traditional 100 watt bulb - when viewed from 10 feet away, a small percent of the LUX output of the bulb will actually go to your eye, you could easily make a 25 Watt bulb appear just as bright to the eye at 10 feet by using optics to redirect the light that would be going in other directions away from you, instead go to your eye. In a room, we are ok with the light scattering everywhere (bathing all the surfaces in the room), so lumens can be an effective comparison for interior lighting. But in a headlight or fog light, the only light that matters is the light that is directed from the source onto your target out in front of the vehicle. Measuring LUX is the accurate way to measure the intensity of the photons that are actually striking a surface within the beam pattern. Any other lumens bouncing around inside the assembly and not escaping to hit the target are simply a waste of amps coming off your system. So for lights that are putting out “beams” of light to hit the road or target down range in front of your vehicle, its the LUX measure in that beam that really should be compared. Why is the lumens double yet the lux is lower?
Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro SAE Fog: 5,796 lumen (119 lux at 10m)
Diode Dynamics SS3 Max SAE Fog: 7,920 lumen (180 lux at 10m)
Morimoto 4Banger NCS Wide: 1,350 lumen (124 lux at 10m)
Morimoto 4Banger HXB Wide: 3,000 lumen (210 lux at 10m)
You need quote the XL's, the sports are too dinky for this location haha.Hey 2fast4u,
Here is a little Info on our Ford Squadron Sport A-Pillar Light Kit - Ford 2021-23 Bronco only priced at $325.95.

I wouldn't say fully "independent." In this video (at 2:35) Chris says, "Here at Headlight Revolution, we're owned by the same company that owns Morimoto Lighting."This is a great independent review of all the major players.
