I thought about doing some custom pedals for my Badlands.

For those interested in some pedals, give Brian @ SRP a shout. He’s the owner and I’ve bought a few sets of his pedals for use in different vehicles. FYI, he will also do some group buy discounts. I put together a group deal back when I had my Challenger 1320 but the admins on that forum went bonkers and I nearly got banned because SRP wasn’t a paid/supporting sponsor.

He can do custom work. Also, I’ve seen some custom colors but normally it takes 10-20 sets to get him to run a particular color; otherwise, it’s not cost effective.

Because the reliability may even be worse than Ford. Plus an oil change and tire rotation costs $500.

I still considered a Defender after having a 2020 Discovery Sport for just under 4 years, but I just couldn't stomach doing it.

Depreciation is mind boggling also.

Rovers are good to lease (if you have the means), but terrible to own.

We have a black on black on black range rover p525 7 seater as the family car

I was also one of the fortunate ones to be able to purchase the braptor in 2022 for msrp., so it was a lot cheaper than our range rover.

for this project, I took influence from what I did with my interior of my other toy

dash: $1500 for the work and $200 for the carbon fiber weave (ford does not use a standard weave so i had to hunt this down)
vendor: DB Carbon (in germany), ask for Daniel and tell him i sent you if your inquire

I get some may question why , it's not worth the cost; etc etc. but we all enjoy modding our vehicles in our own ways. I've done so many mods I really have anything left to do short of APG wide body kit and megazilla engine swap (waiting to see how my buddies turns out)

Honestly, not a bad deal when you consider Ford charges $1750 for a couple of carbon grab handles, shifter and the steering wheel work.

Nothing wrong with high end cosmetic upgrades when done well. Way better than a lot of the crap I see being sold on this forum .

I’ve never inquired about doing a custom grip pattern. My gut says you might be met with some resistance as I know he has done lots of grip testing with his various designs. But it never hurts to ask. Worst he can do is say no.

Wanted to add a higher end touch to the interior.

Mods:
- Carbon Fiber Center Dash (had this custom made using exact same weave as oem carbon, this is not a sticker layover using CF)(What Ford should've offered as part of carbon fiber package). DbCarbon (in Germany) who did all my porsche carbon fiber, did this for me

All upholstery work was done by Rogelio's in Los Angeles, CA
- Marine Grade Vinyl Steering Column surround with Code Orange Deviated Stitching
- Marine Grade Vinyl Upper and Lower Dash with Code Orange Deviated Stitching
- Marine Grade Vinyl Door inserts and arm rests with Code Orange Deviated Stitching
- Marine Grade Vinyl sun visors with Code Orange Deviated Stitching

- Custom Aluminum Pedals (co-designed these and had them done 1 off)
- AR Bronco Raptor Rail
- 67 Designs CF arms and phone holder

Those could look pretty sharp.

There are some carbon fiber pedals out there for vehicles like Porsche and what not (doing a quick sanity check). It seems possible, but I do wonder about the grip like you said.
