I’m sure the upcharge from mid to lux will probably wake me up to reality in terms of what is really necessary, but we can dream. I personally have plenty of time as we’re not purchasing until early/spring of 2022, once the wife graduates and starts pulling in that RN money.
I think Mid to Lux won't be a huge up charge. More than high to lux obviously...
The big dollar items will be engine/trans and probably Sasquatch

Man, you two and my wife and I both had the exact same conversation last night. If we can go mid and squatch, I don't see a reason to not go that route for us at this point, because 2.7/ squatch on the badlands is violently approaching at $50,000+ vehicle!
Dude... Come up to Canada! Lol
The basic Bronc starts at $40,500
Badlands, $53,000 to start.

You can do 2.7 and squatch on black diamond, which I think is more realistically where I’ll probably end up also. The wife and I both immediately said Badlands when we saw it but we would never use it to its potential so no point spending that much.
That's a good point... Will I need rubber floors and sway disconnect??

Comparing the Bad Lands and Wildtrak basically gives you the cost of what mid package and Sasquatch cost... In Canada, $5500
So MAYBE the Sasquatch is $3500 to $4000 I'm guessing.

Exactly. I think most people get the “I want it all” mentality regardless of their final use. I call them mall crawlers, upfitted to a T but never even sees a dirt road, let alone off road. And when I used to work for Jeep, we’d always get the yahoos that would spend a fortune to get a Rubicon, add even more upfits to it and then come in a week later complaining of a rough ride, tire noise and terrible gas mileage. They think because they spend 50 grand they’re getting a luxury SUV.

Yeah the more I think about it, Black Diamond with Mid and Squatch seems to be the way to go for me. I’m fairly certain the 12 inch screen will be an upgrade I can do piecemeal in the future with the parts and Forscan similar to adding the digital cluster to my car, and the upgraded stereo is nice but I just replaced the Shaker Pro in my Mustang, so no point getting a fancy factory stereo when I’ll likely just upgrade it down the road. Be curious about whether or not the 360 camera would be able to be hot swapped in down the road. Curious where the cameras are going to be located.
