So I had all these plans on how mine was going to work. I ordered the straps that was suggested on another thread and they were too short. I used some clamps and got them working. The balance point on the 2 dr would not be found for me using the slots with the window down. So then I went about changing my Jeep system and that plan didn't work the way I wanted. The last step was the easiest and of course that worked. Now everyone has me worried about storing it but the top portion of the roof.
Thinking about a couple of hooks screwed into the rafters then straps down to a couple eye bolts into a couple of 2x4's across the bottom for support then pull them up to take the load off the top.
My Jeep top would hang up there all summer without support under it, but it was one piece I believe, and I never had a issue in the 10 years I owned it. My ceiling is 13ft high so I can leave it up there and it is out of the way and can still use my Maxjax lift.
Anyway, any suggestions or comments good or bad to make this better would be appreciated..
