Rolling it back and forth will only confirm the parking brake isnāt set. The Bronco procedure calls for leaving the transmission in neutral. Jeep calls for leaving the transmission in Park.I just flat towed my 24 BL SaS 2* in the last 3 days approximately 100 miles ea way at 65 mph following the printed instructions in the manual without an issue. I did photo the neutral tow enabled message and the odometer Reading both times. One thing I do in addition after the process is complete is I actually roll the vehicle back and forth a couple inches to verify things have disconnected. Not sure if that's a valid proof of the pudding or not, but it's something I used to do with my Jeep Rubicon which proved to me that things disconnected.
I too would like to know what the service writer produced that demonstrates that the Ford current process is incorrect. It would seem to me that everybody that neutral tows would have had a failure if that statement is true.
