Ford Bronco New around here IMG_4852

Hey all I’m new to this forum just wanted to drop in with an intro, not sure if it’s required but figured why not. I’ve got a 2021 Badlands and it’s been a blast. Lately been trying to prioritize finally getting around to making mods and figured this would be the place for suggestions. Right now I’m most interested in doing the 2025 full cluster swap. I also want to research and look into installing the A-pillar grab handles. Just a couple things to freshen it up. I’m not interested in trading in with such minor changes and also because of how much the price has increased since I bought mine new. Eventually I’d like to do suspension mods but a hard top is taking priority for now, just waiting for Ford to restock them. I missed out on a modular top and have regretted it ever since. Any suggestions are more than welcome, especially simple ones.

Welcome. Looks like a first edition by the decal and wheels. Looks sharp.
hard to believe you bought a new ‘21 and this is your first post here.

On the top do not spend any money on a Ford MIC top. The Ford painted or mod tops are good, as well as the aftermarket options but stay away from the grey mic tops.

Yeah it’s a clone of the FE. I was initially going to get one but I didn’t want the carpet floor. Had a lot going on that didn’t really give me the free time to explore a forum or make much use of the Bronco honestly. Just crossed 28,000 miles on it not too long ago.

Any reasons for not getting the MIC? I like the look of them and prefer OEM over any of the aftermarket options I’ve seen so far but I can be convinced for sure given the cost

They still have cracking issues and delamination on many of them.

The end of this month I will have had mine for 3 years with no problems. I live in Phoenix and park outside and not covered. The sun and heat haven't been a problem.

I see no reason not to get an MIC top unless you like some feature of a third party top .

You'll see compaints on here. But people who are happy about a product seldom post. The first generation tops, 2021 and maybe 2022, did have problems. New ones have the problems worked out.

There have been companies making after market tops that have gone out of business, sometimes quickly, meaning no support for those who bought their product. Also not all after market racks will fit third party tops. I have a TrailRax. It won't fit many of the aftermarket tops. Trailrax worked with Ford when they designed their rack. The factory rack won't fit after market racks.

Thank you all for the welcomes. I genuinely like the MIC top for its looks. Unless by some miracle the mod top becomes available to buy as a kit from Ford that’s what I have my mind on for sure. I have been reading up on some of the issues here but I still think it’s the best option. None of the aftermarket ones have appealed to me especially for the prices

My Mic top has had no issues in 2 years about 30k miles, but lots of them have and if I was spending $5500 on a top I would look elsewhere epically since Ford has no advertised warranty, at most 3years.
These look close to the factory tops and they list a Lifetime warranty.

I have no affiliation, bought an item from them and I noticed they do tops now and they look good, lots of options.

Our '24 WT came with a Shadow Black painted top. It's nice, but the gloss black doesn't completely jive with the rest of the trim.... particularly the B-pillar and the triangle on the rear window...it tickles my OCD a little. I need to find gloss covers or inserts.

The MIC top on our '22 2-door has held up fine so far over 27K miles and I think it looks better and suits the Bronco. But, you know what they say about 2-doors.

We can agree that people that are happy seldom post, but my MIC top on my '24 Badlands was less than a year old and only 12k miles on it and it was cracking bad under the passenger side window. It was wavy on both the front pieces. Always garaged and cared for properly. I would never buy a MIC top again.
