OP: you should definitely cancel your Bronco order and walk away from the entire Bronco experience. They have good rebates on Chevy Equinox these days, I highly recommend one of those. Seems like a better fit in your situation.

Thanks for the input. If i'd been told 'it could take up to 6 months' or whatever, that would've been fine. It's the promise of '6-8 weeks', then 'by X date', then turning into 6 months with no explanation.... and no communication to let me know that. I had to hound them to give me any of this information! Just seems like bad business and made me concerned that there was something seriously wrong with the vehicle.

Nobody can ever 'promise' a window. A good dealership can give a reasonable expectation but there are so many variables that can enter the equation.

Sometimes, certain equipment just adds time waiting on third-party vendors. A good dealership should be able to get your answer quickly.
