I installed my doors today and I initially forgot to put the rubber guards on. Now I have a few minor nicks that took the paint off.
should I try and touch these up with touch up paint and risk messing it up(did this on my f150)?
Will these small 1/8” nicks cause rust in time?

These aluminum doors are so delicate I have no desire to ever remove them

I’d just use some touch up paint. The pens you can get from Ford are great and come with clear coat as well. Just take your time applying it.

You could do a lil paint stick or just simple plain clear nail polish. I got a deep scratch let me scour my posts and i'll find what a user sent to me to fix.

Several great advice posts above mine here.
if the modest use of a drop of compound then polish doesn’t do it,
Get one of those clear coat touch up pens, apply it and let it sit in the sun and harden up well for a day.
Then you can take a paint stick and use like some 2000 grit wrapped around it to GENTLY start taking that touch up back down.
Repeat buffing process.
Don’t be too nervous when you see swirls from the compound.
The polish typically takes care of those.
Wax as normal.

Seeing how yours is on the corner, IMO the nail polish clear coat will work great. Clean it as best as you can and do 2/3 coats. I used it plently on my JKU doors.

It's a small chip but if ur worried about rust or anything that polish will at least give you a protective layer

It will corrode and scale the paint if you live by the ocean or they use salt on the road during the winter if left raw. May take a couple years but time always wins.
