someone posted a link to a Q&A from bronco nation for this email. Not only is ford dicking over people waiting for a vin they are dicking over those that have a vin for a 4 door

Will the hardtop prep kit be available for customers whose 4-door soft top Bronco is built before September production? No. Hardtop prep kit will be included on all 4-door Broncos, beginning with September production

Sucks but probably the logistics of circling back and adding those to soft tops already is probably a headache. Also another bone to the people on the fence to switch to soft top because I really don't think they want to start down the road of building dealer stock soft tops. That's huge PR nightmare when they said forever that all reservations would be built before dealer stock.

Also from what some dealer/parts counter guys have said that the hook up parts won't be much, just time consuming to install.

Looking at their email it seems that they will be building dealer stock

Oh for sure they will, just meant it along the lines of there would be a lot more dealer stock orders if they didn't do the prep kit. Seems like quite a few people on here will jump on the soft top now that the prep kit is a thing.

I am guessing the only thing dealers will get will be a 2.3 non-sas. At this point I am surprised ford isn't looking for another hardtop provider.

Could you imagine if half of dealer allocations this year was dealer stock? Holy shirt balls would they have some issues

Same thought but who other then Webasto, who can they go to? From what I've read is they're like the only player in the game for something like this and for what Ford wants to accomplish.

I don't know, but I am guessing aftermarket is going to jump all over this opportunity

All I can say is, I'm gonna be super pissed if dealer stock also gets commodity constraints too. Like tow, v6, squatch. That'd be really fucked up.

Only problem is, why would Ford care if I were really pissed?
