haha. yeah man, first year in the house, I made sure we brought our pumpkins in, batten down the hatches, we were ready for it. Figured we were the new people on the block, so we were gonna get hit hard... woke up the next day, I didn't even see one tree TP'd. Neighborhood was completely clean.Well I was born n raised in Queens NY, so I'm a bit more cultured
In PA they actually have Halloween on different nights depending which township you're in. It's to specifically avoid the shit we went through in the 80s and 90s the eve of Halloweenhaha. yeah man, first year in the house, I made sure we brought our pumpkins in, batten down the hatches, we were ready for it. My wife and I were so confused.
90's... man, I remember the first time my dad let me go out for mischief night. Big milestone in my childhood. I think I was 12?In PA they actually have Halloween on different nights depending which township you're in. It's to specifically avoid the shit we went through in the 80s and 90s the eve of Halloween
I actually really like that. As an adolescent I would have totally participated. Harmless compared to some of the shit we would do on a boring weekend90's... man, I remember the first time my dad let me go out for mischief night. Big milestone in my childhood. I think I was 12?
on the complete opposite spectrum, out here they do this 'ghosting' thing. Where you basically make up a bag of treats and do a little ding dong ditch. In the bag is a picture of a ghost you hang on your door to let people know you've been ghosted and then you need to go ghost 2 additional people. Much more family friendly.
It is Not mischief night!! It is gate nightI actually really like that. As an adolescent I would have totally participated. Harmless compared to some of the shit we would do on a boring weekend
Although for some like @Merc4x4 who doesn't like people leaving rubber duckies on their car, ding dong ditch might lead to... confrontations
yeah, the kids love doing it. My son was already asking me if we could kick it off this year. Last year with Covid no one did it.I actually really like that. As an adolescent I would have totally participated. Harmless compared to some of the shit we would do on a boring weekend

yeah, I'm not sure I get it. I can't understand for the life of me why young people would want everything recorded.I'd hate to think what you guys would have done if Tiktok was around when you were young punks.
It is Not mischief night!! It is gate night
Gate Night (plural Gate Nights) (around New York City, Connecticut, Winnipeg, Rhode Island) A particular night, commonly the night of the 30th to the 31st of October, during which young people play pranks and do mischief in their neighborhoods.
Come on man!!!! Get your shit together! You never heard of gate night?
