Trying to hook up some lights to the accessory switches and I ran into a few odd problems that are throwing me for a loop. There are supposed to be 6 powered circuit wires under the hood near the firewall coming out of the loom. I only have five. There is no Violet/green. Does it come out somewhere else?

Next, in trying to get my roof light bar to work, I hooked its wire to the grey/orange, then grey orange behind the glove box to brown/white and then to the Aux 1 wire which is yellow. Nothing. In flipping the other switches it lights up on Aux 3? WTF. Aux 3 is supposed to be the Violet/ green wire I can’t find.

next, in hooking up my bumper lights, there is supposed to be a white/ grey wire running to the back. Nope. Mine is white /orange. So I hook that up to white behind the glove box and then whit to the powered blue/ orange for Aux 5 and it works fine, but why the different color wire running to the back. What’s going on here? At least it’s working but the missing violet/ green wire and my roof bar working on Aux three instead of one has me pulling my hair out. And I need that missing wire to see if that’s hooked to Aux 1 instead plus I plan on using all the powered wires to run things and if I can’t find it……..? Anyone have any ideas here.

Raptor Aux wiring is different than all other Bronco models. You gotta RTFM.

As mentioned above by @Bschurr, Raptor wiring varies from other Broncos, Aux 1 is the off-road lights in the bumper with the Raptor covers on them. They are with your fog lights, take the covers off and hit Aux 1, that’s why Aux 3 is the 30A switch on the Raptor.

That’s were I screwed up. I didn’t understand at first how to wire things and someone sent me a chart that was not a Raptor chart and I was following it. I just figured all broncos with auxiliary wiring would be the same. Obviously the person that sent me that thought so too. That’s a relief as I thought I had some weird wiring configuration. LOL

Been there myself, with there not being an actual physical manual to reads, and the fact that the ‘25 model manual doesn’t have the wiring chart in it, it made it difficult to start. I found the chart finally and was able to get things wired, but it was still a pain, who the hell uses white/orange and gray/orange in a poorly lit area that you have to contort yourself to even get to?!?! Wired my Rigid third brake light’s reverse lighting to the top of the windshield because I couldn’t see the stupid wiring color well enough. When it didn’t work I figured out it was the wrong one, but finding the white/orange one was a pain still, they had the end of taped up back onto the wiring loom it was in, I had to remove trim and trace it to find it above the speaker. It would have been nice if they extended all the Aux wiring by a few inches, and the rear one by a few feet.

i effing agree. I used white/orange for my chase lights. I had to take apart the whole interior to get to that wire. Every wire in the uplifter system could have been extended a foot. How much would that have added to the cost of $90,000 vehicle. Statement not a question. Absolutely nothing. The color and striping are just as stupid. IMHO not

Exactly. Why end the wire two feet from the tailgate. Yes, I had to rip all that stuff out to get to the wire. Why not run it to the back where you can see it versus making you rip out the interior to find it. Whoever’s decision that was needs to be hung by their fingernails! Makes no sense. And the wire colors behind the glove box should be bright and unmistakable, not muted hard to tell what color it is colors. Greys, browns, tans should be a non starter.

Now you got me started. I’d gladly have paid $195 for the long aux wiring lead option. It would saved me a LOT of swearing.

Trying to butt connect wires up behind glove compartment is a pain for righties. I ended sitting upside down in the passenger seat to even have a chance to connect those.

The wires under the hood are a huge challenge given the height of the Raptor fender, the width of the flare and the limited amount of exposed wiring tucked down by the firewall.

As stated above, tearing apart half the cargo area to get to the lead back there is just silly.

And Ford managed to bury my lead above the passengers visor that required even more excavation to free it.

On the plus side, it’s great having the Aux wiring and switches in the first place. The firewall and cargo area grommets are very handy for passing wiring and antenna cables. And while you do have to remove a lot of interior panels, it’s pretty handy they left space in the cable trays to run wiring down the length of the vehicle.
