Good afternoon. I just installed factory skid plates on my Big Bend. I found torque specs of 26ftlbs but was wondering if I should have added loctite? Maybe anti seize?

Hand tight with JB Weld works.

No seriously - I tighten all with Loc Tite or something else on hand.

Remember also that a service tech you may use for maintenance might leave them loose. Happened to me - I didn’t double check the torques before a wheeling trip, lost my OEM engine plate out there.

I did not use thread locker (which I have several flavors of) when I installed all my skids. I used antiseize on the bolts.
