That's kinda why this response is so unsatisfying for me. "Optimizing the driving experience" or "product strategy" is just opaque corpo-speak that says nothing at all. What would make them take such a drastic step and absolutely stonewall any possibility of rolling it back?I'd like to know the real reason for dropping rev matching. Was it really about emissions/economy, or instead some mechanical/wear concern. I would have liked rev matching for my other household drivers who don't always do so well downshifting.
