Well that sucks, sorry to hear. Strange part to fail so early in it's life...me thinks probably defective from the factory. Did the dealer have any explanation why it would have failed?

Agreed, looks like just a random part failure likely defective from the factory, so may just be one of those one off failures. Time will tell.
