Can't speak for OP, and that's a pretty significant amount of snow but.....

It doesn't look like they treated it. My guess is the concrete gets direct sun and was warm at the start, OP shoveled early on, and it melted away due to not accumulating.

My entire front yard is river rock, we got snow a couple weeks ago and my driveway and front yard cleared before the cars and grass yards did. The rock and concrete can retain and dissipate heat faster than the cars do in my experience.
