Can confirm - had paint chipping off the edges of my middle section as delivered. Dealer ordered a new panel and it came in white. Initially painted just that panel even though I asked about matching and end result they repainted the whole thing.

There are several threads with the MIC being painted/bed lined 2-3K to overcome and repair the cracking. Nothings cheap, but it is a back-up plan if you don't spend the 5-8K on a new PHT. Sounds like you will be doing painting regardless if you do find a PHT for sale.

The Turn or Armadillo top is a 4-5K investment as well. I plan on staying with the MIC and do a Rhino Line or something when required. Good luck!

This is a dumb question. Why can't you have a body shop just paint the MIC top? I'm sure you can find a primer to coat the original so that it get a nice smooth finish.

Getting it smooth for paint isn’t the problem with painting the MIC, it’s because if/when it cracks, the paint will crack too. Then it’s a shiny cracked MIC that the cracks really show and then the paint will fail near the cracks.
