Posable spotlights?

It's held up well and still works despite me being on many dusty trails and power washing the thing numerous times. The dv8 mount was a lucky find as its wide enough to be able to mount the thing.

Install was fairly easy. The inside control unit is a bit cheap and mine got dust in it which made the turning thing feel gritty but it was an easy disassembly and cleaning.

Total light output is a bit lacking in this unit, wish it had more lumens frankly. Overall I recommend it. Def not a need as a modern flashlight will probably outperform it.

That's a shame about the brightness. This is what I had in my interceptor - didn't cost this much about 4 years ago though, and I know for sure that it was just the bumb part that I replaced and not the whole unit (the interceptor alreadyy had the unity spotlight mounted, I just converted it from the 100w tungsten bulb to the 30W LED one).
I won't be drilling any holes in the A-pillar of my Bronco though, especially considering the boron steel they're made of. LOL

I did that all the time in maine on road trips in my interceptor... Why would you be put in jail for using a glorified flashlight in fields? That'a wild!!

Spotting Dear and then shooting them I would imagine gets you thrown in jail and confiscated vehicle and firearms. Or if you are just driving down the road shining a spotlight into random pastures, I am sure is frowned upon. I know I don’t like it when people leaving the State park go shining lights in our pasture.

If you are shooting someone close enough to you that you call them dear.... Then yea, you are going to jail.... I would never shoot someone that was dear to me.

Go to the Maine Department of Fisheries n Wildlife website...very specific on lighting up at night. Game wardens don't care innocent intensions.

I actually just looked into this, and by golly, they sure are strict - as of 2025, at least. I haven't done anything like that since mid-2024, but even so, good info to know. Luckily, I live in Massachusetts which doesn't have any spotlight restrictions. I don't carry any firearms or anything other than a pocket knife and hatchet in my bronco so no intent to hunt can be found at least (never been hunting a day in my life lol)! But anyway thanks for sharing, that's actually probably just saved me from a major fine in the future since I hope to move to maine or NH in a few years.
