I’m finding the reverse light brightness pretty inadequate for backing into my gravel driveway at night, and with a weird arc pattern on the ground as viewed on the backup camera. It’s noticeably dimmer than my other vehicles. Anyone upgraded theirs or added a separate rear pointed flood as an accessory for this reason?

EDIT: nevermind, just found a thread on this

You’ll hopefully find out about lots of add-on lighting pods. Well anyway not often mentioned is that this Diode Dynamics light is easy if you have a trailer package harness, I’m using it on 2 vehicles. They sell it everywhere including Amazon. There are also tons of cheaper options there like this if you don‘t want name brand, I’ve used on other trucks.

I did get the dealer-installed Ford tow receiver and that sounds like a very appealing mount option. Thanks!

I added two KC Flex Era 1 pods to my roof rack. Very happy with them. You set them up as flood or spot, as well as amber.

Check out some of our reverse kits. They bolt right on and there is NO CUTTING involved. Our included harness just plugs in-line with your tail lights (no need to even remove the tail lights, real easy)

I’m leaning heavily towards the DD hitch mount light. It seems like the most protected and low profile mount possible. Can’t get dicked up by gravel from the tires which I shed every day coming off my driveway. Won’t clash with my white spare on the back. I just want basic reverse and don’t need the strobe brake version.

Speaking of the spare, I got tired of waiting for Advanced Wheel Locks to come back in stock in chrome so I used my Ford Pass points to order the Ford OEM wheel lock set for now. Gonna put 3 on the spare and nowhere else. If the Advanced version ever comes back in stock before my truck is an antique, I might upgrade. Granted it’s only been 3 weeks but I’m impatient. I want at least some appearance of security back there for parking at trailheads, etc.

HI Frank, I am so sorry that the lugs took so long to come back in stock. We use the same plater that the OEM's do, so as a small mom and pop, our pallet of parts gets pushed behind their semi full. This sometimes means that we have to wait weeks to get them. They are back in stock now. Again, I apologize for the delay and the inconvenience that it caused you. We are a team of 4 people vs a multimillion dollar corporation.
