I'm thinking of improving the braking performance of my Bronco. It looks like Rotora is the only company that offers big brake kits for the Bronco with the 2.7 engine. I know of Wilwood, Brembo, and AP Racing, but I've never heard of Rotora. I'm wondering if anyone has had prior experience with the products of this brand.

I had to brake hard once on the turnpike when some idiot two cars in front of me decided to come to a complete stop out of nowhere, I thought the back wheels were going to come off the ground.
I'd imagine a front big brake kit + 2 dr you'll be doing stoppies :ROFLMAO:

Not on my Bronco but we installed a set of Rotoras on both an Explorer ST and a Whipple supercharged 2021 F150 here at Lethal and both are awesome.

Never used those, but I have heard decent things about them.

Honestly, the Bronco brakes are pretty robust stock.

The stock brakes are great as long as a Bronco remains bone stock. A performance tune and heavy add-ons compromise the braking performance. More power and more weight = more heat. There are lots of hills and twisty roads in my area, and I would like to have slightly more confidence in the Bronco brakes.

Is this a problem with the Bronco? I don't think the tires can overpower the OEM brakes.

Stronger brakes won't do anything if the tires still slip.

I wouldn't be an early adopter on these, I remember reading of someone here purchasing a Hennessey Bronco with a big brake kit and they had to return it to it's stock brakes because of an issue with the computer.

Edit: Found it,

Thanks for the link. I'm not ready to pull the trigger on the BBK yet, just collecting the information that should help me make a decision.

The swept area of the pads/rotors are the biggest benefit. Those of us with heavy rigs and live in the mountains it does make a difference. I split time from a house at sea level to another house at 6000 ft. Factory brakes do not last long.
