Hey everyone,
New Bronco owner here and seen my Bronco has a Roush lid on my 2.7. It has a factory paper filter in it as I’m sure the Ford dealer put in when it was traded in for an F150. Does anyone know how to get the Roush filter?

Thanks

Have you tried the Roush website? I'm guessing they have it WAY overpriced.

I did search the site and didn’t see any option unless I overlooked it. But googling the filter part number did show something like $200 which is robbery lol. I emailed Roush and will see what they say.

I'm pretty sure you can find it through several vendors. If you can find a part number should be easy to cross reference for multiple brands. Other than being advertised as high flow it's really noting special.

Roush did email me about the replacement filter and they want $200. I think a K&N should be just fine as a replacement. I believe nothing has changed diameter wise from this lid or the factory lid.

$200...WTF! The Bronco tax apparently still alive and well. I'm not sure who manufactures the filters for Roush but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was just a rebranded K&N...sure looks like one.

I shouldn't be surprised. Back in '21 the Roush CAI was the first and only option available before other vendors came out with options to compete. At the time I forked-out +$450 for the complete CAI.

Pretty sure its an off the shelf filter whatever you ise dry is the way to go, many are washable as well, though OE paper filters better with nil air flow restriction.

Check and see how much the Burger Motor Sports filter is. The lid system is similar albeit I think better. A regular K&N won’t give you the larger surface area for max benefit.

This filter looks exactly like the Roush for $69, same price as a K&N replacement filter. I went ahead and ordered the Burger filter and will see. But like you said it appears to be the same lid for the most part.

The BMS lid and filter system is superior. :) But I'm not sure if our filter fits your Roush lid. If it does let us know and we'll have to add a compatibility note to our site!
I will definitely let you know how it goes. The Roush lid was on when I purchased the Bronco, figured if it doesn’t fit then no biggie I’ll be changing over to your lid.

I highly recommend that you replace the Roush filter, it's worth it! I initially had a K&N Filter and was disappointed that it was not a perfect fit. The Roush filter does increase power and fuel efficiency, but the BMS option does look promising though.

Got the Burger Motorsport replacement air filter today and it works for the Roush lid. Nice alternative over what Roush wants to offer as a replacement filter.
Curious what these lids look like side by side.
