What's up with this? Is this common? Seems like a last minute kludge... possible source of wind noise?

Not sure what is wrong?
The mesh-looking plastic is to let out any water that gets into the void between the front rubber seal, and the rear rubber seal.
Kind of a neat design, in my not-so humble opinion.

I sent these to my to my dealer but I noticed it as well. It looks bad, I saw another WT parked and I noticed it had the same exact thing.

I’ve also wondered about this, one of the first things I noticed when I took off the panels on my bronco. Is this really the original design? cause if that’s the case, it looks horrible.

curious if your dealer ever got back to you? I mentioned something about the rubber lining within the interior peeling off to my local dealership & they totally put it off and said, ‘that’s how it’s supposed to be.’ smh
