I would not be pleased if they did that without clearing it with me first. From what I can tell is they have to screw through the body paint to attach it. Here in Oklahoma we do not require a front facing plate. After I saw your post I sent my dealer a text asking them not to put that on. Thank you for that.
I'm Canadian, so we have to have a plate on the front. I just still have a dealer plate on it. My plates will go on this week, but we're required to have the front and back plates on. I'm not sure if they had to screw through the body paint, I thought I saw a spot for the middle screw before it was attached. My husband is actually my dealer so he was there when they attached it.
