I am coming from a Rubicon X, where I had 2 sets of "cheap" 6 led 3 inch cubes installed on the front bumper and bull bar. When I did this I cut off the relay and switch in the light kit and used one of the Jeep's 4 aux switches (the low amperage ones (15 amps)) to power each set of lights.

Ford Bronco Simple Lighting Question 20240605_133422

I am assuming that I can do the same with the Bronco and use UP SW 6 as the hot for a pair of these lights. The reason I asking is the Jeep's switches were 15 & 40 amps, the bronco switches 4 - 6 are 10 amps and while I'm not too worried that 2 cheap" 6 led 3 inch cube lights will pull 10 amps, that is some of the THINNEST wire I have ever seen.

For small generic (not Rigid, DD, Oracle, Auxbeam, etc) lights are you using the UP switch power wire to power the lights or using the UP switch wire to power on a relay that will power the lights.

Thanks

Simple answer... It depends. Don't exceed the switch ratings. It's a good idea to stay below them.

My recommendation for continuous use is:
SW1, 16A
SW2, 15A
SW3-6, 7-8A

If you need to exceed those ratings use a relay.
