My interior door handle has developed a noticeable annoying squeak (video). It’s plastic on plastic so it makes sense this is going to squeak eventually. The handle is a plastic cover in front and an integrated plastic bracket in back. It’s secured with three panel clips in the front and along the length, with two easily broken tabs in the back over.
removal is pretty easy. Grab and twist to flex the handle so you can slip a sturdy plastic panel tool in at the front of the handle cover. Pry gently and firmly to release the front clip, then work backward to release the other two. Slide the cover forward to avoid damaging the retaining tabs.
I cut some 1/4” thick rolled packaging foam to put in the waste areas, then popped the cover back on.
no squeak…………...for now
dang, I forgot to take a pic of the back of the cover, ugh.
