Stolen Bronco - Bethesda, MD

Hey all. My Bronco was stolen 2 days ago from Bethesda. MCPD is on it but no luck tracking it so far. (Yes I tried the FordPass app, but they reset it shortly after taking so not showing location)

It’s a Black Wildtrak with MIC. No other options.

If you see one that looks abandoned in the MD/DC/VA/Baltimore area, might be worth notifying the local police!

Update: Vehicle was recovered in Silver Spring. Minor front bumper damage. Everything else is in place and intact. Detective said it was most likely juveniles.

Key fob was stolen out of another vehicle that was broken into.

The takeaway is that you can't count on FordPass location tracking. A factory reset thru the touchscreen menu, and you are unlinked for good.

next time put a standalone tracking device in it thats for sure. Hope they find it in one piece but often people torch them or strip them or both

Leaves no evidence behind. They will strip them sometimes then dump them and torch them. Harder to get prints or DNA. It's sad

2 days ago I was parked and waiting for my daughter. An f150 backed in across from me. Two couples got out and went into a restaurant. A few minutes later, a guy came from the opposite direction, remotely unlocked the truck and went through it. He was loading his pockets as he walked away. He also locked it.
Got the plate number of the vehicle he got into and called the police. Luckily, there was a squad close by. The thieves were still sitting there probably waiting to do it again.
Not sure if he was able to copy the fob when they locked the truck or how he did it but he was in and out in less than 30 seconds.
Scumbags, every one of them.
Sad thing is that nothing will happen to them. They're probably doing the same thing right now
