It'd probably get wrecked before getting stolen, it's shipped with red loctite on the threads.
I get it that stubbies aren’t very flexible if they come in contact with branches and things of this nature, and could result in damage. However, it’s super easy to simply unscrew it and stow it in the glove box before hitting the trails. (Skip the locktite)
Everyone has their own methods.

Exactly what I was coming here to say.
I agree but neither does the whip metal one that’s out of place on any vehicle made in the past 35 years

Like keeping a somewhat oem look. The bullet was too much for me. Solid aluminum. Works great. Stays out of the way. Ronin on Amazon.

Hey y'all,

I was looking for some different stubby antenna suggestions.

I have seen the general stubbys, the bullet one, and the baseball bat one. I was wondering if anybody had seen any other themed antennas.

I was probably going to get the baseball bat one, but I was wondering if anybody had a picture with it on their truck, I couldn't find one online. I wanted to see it on a truck before I got it.
stubby cool but i use my antenna as a height gage it it touch i dont fit under lol

There may be differences in performance between these stubbies, but the one I went with (cravenspeed) is just 'acceptable' once outside the city. There are areas where it'll only pick up 2 stations where the longer one would pick up a couple dozen - at least. But as much as I listen to the radio, the aesthetics of the shorter antenna outweigh the tradeoff in performance.

I went with this one as well. I can't imagine they're all that much different, but I'm perfectly happy with this one.
I’m curious about you guys going with solid aluminum/cores. To me it’s not a great conductive metal for reception purposes and would rather go the route of copper/coil cores. Form factor and size are nice options but don’t want to sacrifice too much on the reception.
