I couldn't get through 21 pages but yowza...some of yall get carried away. Is the duck thing dumb? Yeah, it's dumb. No doubt. I'm glad it wasn't a thing 30yrs ago when I drove a wrangler. But it's equally dumb to get all twisted up about it. They're rubber, right? It didn't damage anything. Just chuck the thing and move on. Or hand it to a toddler and watch them smile.
I waive at other Scouts when I'm in my old Scout but that's mostly because I usually know the guy driving. I wish I had time to sit somewhere and stake out a Scout that's parked that I don't know but that's not my reality. I don't mind when people admire my Scout but I hate when tourists (I live in a mountain destination) yell "how much for your Scout?". I hold up a certain figure and say "one million".
But how many tens or hundreds of thousands of Broncos are on the road at this point? It's not as thought they are a novelty anymore or scarce or special in any way. I don't wave at Broncos when I'm in my Bronco let alone want to put stuff on them when parked.
But if people feel compelled to leave something on my ride I want airplane bottles. Glass ones, no cheap shlt in plastic.
