Texas Winter Affects Vehicle Chip Production

It definitely affects Tesla chips as Samsung was one of a few shutdown. Price increases are expected, but it's not sure how or if it will affect any vehicle pricing.

I would doubt a vehicle's price would be raised because of a 1 month 300mm chip shortage. Its a small temporary shortage, only 1 or 2% of total global supply. The article says no noticeable impact but possible chip price increases, it does not say they are expected.

The vehicle's price has already been published and others have already paid the determined price. I just don't see vehicle manufacturer changing the price of a vehicle because some of the chips in the car cost a little more for a month of the year. Well, maybe tesla would. But not Ford. A traditional manufacturer will bake that cost into next year's model.
