You could also use a different spare tire relo bracket and mount it offset (ie shifted to the passenger side) and that would open up center clearance for a higher hitch mount setting.



Unrelated note - secure that leveler jack handle up parallel, they tend to catch things and go “snap” hanging down like that, especially on steep driveways and trails.

I like that spare tire relocation. It's much more practical for towing, and it looks like the bumper is carrying the weight, not the door.

The picture is a few months old. I have swapped those handles for a modified bolt with a 3/4" head so I can use my drill to run the jacks up and down. Nothing left to drop down, but thanks for the heads up.

I run that particular spare carrier (from JCR), yes it’s totally off the door but it attaches to their own Vanguard bumper. I didn’t think as to whether there is a similar option for the stock bumper you have, you’d have to research.

Good on the modified jack, same thing I do now after seeing it once on someone else’s camper and going…..huh.

I use a lock N Role with a 2-inch drop. It fits and is articulates well.

I was thinking of doing that, but didn’t cause of the expense in converting my trailer. Can you post a pic of it all hooked up
