I want that as well - I called them like 6 months ago and was told that this is not a real item nor was it on the road map for future consideration. I hope something changed because that’s a killer set up.

help me with this...is there any structural advantage/disadvantage to just having this as opposed to the entire rack set up? I'm trying to understand the want for only this and not all of it...not making a judgement, just asking

There is no structural advantage over a full rack, this is option and variant of our Pak Rax and Modular roof rack line for the Bronco is the most minimalist we could get for those who just want Pak Rax and no roof rack. Due to the lack of upper support, we needed to add cross bars to structurally hold both pak rax up on the vehicle. There is no real advantage or disadvantage to the half rack or full rack.

Load rating on the cross bars are 250 lbs shared between the two.

Hi @TrailRax , is it going to offer a better fit with a bestop skyrider for a 4dr bronco?
See this post - Its not resting properly due to the width of each item,

Does the crossbars in this setup still allow mounting items on the top? Or is it purely for structural strength and should not be holding any weight?

@TrailRax, two questions.....First, can you please confirm that the stand alone Pak Rax will not work on a 2 door? I see that statement on your website and understand the likely reason is the presence of only indented mounting point per side on the 2dr MIC roof. Just asking to be sure since the website allows the 2 Dr stand alone to be entered and priced.

Second, can the stand alone version function with the Pak Rax on only one side? In other words, passenger side would be upper clamps, crossbars on top, and driver side would have upper clamps, lower clamps and Pak Rax mounting plate. Intuitively I don't think this will work since but maybe I misunderstand the load paths.
