Does anyone know what the deal
Is with Pro Comp 69 and the two different styles they come in?

Some of the 69s look more “classic” with smaller holes and the face is sunken in while others look more “flush” with bigger holes.

Do you get the classic look only when the wheel is wider or when you have more negative offset?

I would really enjoy the “classic” style but I don’t even know what I would receive if I ordered a set.

Do you get the classic look only when the wheel is wider or when you have more negative offset?

What is the deal here?

Thanks for chiming in.

So that blue bronco has -6 and a “baby” lip.

I guess you would need to run a crazy negative offset to get that wide lip.

More research: a pro comp in a 16x10 with a -24 offset according to this post would give me the desired look(for the wheel that is) but the package would stick out a fair bit even on my SAS. It would be like running a 2in spacer on my OEM SAS wheels.

I have a set of these, pretty sure I posted in that thread earlier. And yes, it's the offset that is making them look different. Pro Comp basically increases the offset as the wheel size goes down. 17-20" wheels hover in the -6 to 0 to +12 range. Anything under 17" starts to get real deep, with -24 and deeper.

Thats my bronco. Theyre 17x9 with -6 offset. The others pictured appear to be a smaller diameter and wider therefore having a bigger lip or the appearance of it anyway.

Thank you all for chiming in. I now understand why the stock photos for Pro Comp 69 vary so much.

The super wide lips I see online are of a 15X10 with a crazy -44 offset which is meant for older vehicules with narrow axles while modern off roaders usualy have wider axles and positive offsets.

I also noticed that the larger the diameter of the wheel, the further the holes are from the hub, the center of the wheel, giving it a different look.
