Not surprised. During the Covid times all of the online car companies were way over paying for vehicles. As the supply and demand began to balance, they end up sitting on over priced inventory that won't sell. Look at the stock history for all of them. Not a pretty picture.

Yep. Vroom bought my 2020 Wrangler 9 months and 14,000 miles after I'd purchased it for $200 less than my total "out the door" price. I bought a VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI from a friend for $9,000 to bridge the gap between my Jeep and the arrival of my Bronco. Carvana bought it in March of 2022 for $11,000.

I'd read a year or so ago that some of the major shareholders of Vroom were suing the company for an "unsustainable business model" because they were doing exactly what you described. I guess it finally caught up with them.
