I just took delivery of my 2025 Big Bend. I noticed this in the cargo area:

What exactly are this hose and wire connector thingy for?

I suspected as much, only thing I could think of for a hose. I have a soft top. Remove, let it be, lazy Ford/dealer, or just part of a package even though no hard top?

I think Ford calls it the hard top prep kit. That way if you ever get a hardtop, you're covered.

Not lazy, that is just standard. If you ever buy a hard top then you are ready. Not any different than the wiring harness being ready to install a hitch.
