I have a 24 wildtrak lux and I am putting in a third break light in the spare wheel. So I’ve done all the stuff to the tow box on the drivers fender and starting to put everything together but now I have this extra connection. What is it? Where is it go? It doesn’t reach the fender tow box and I can’t see an empty slot near the tail light. Help

I don't recall if the driver side rear trim has this but check the removed trim panel for a PATS antenna connector.

Trying to remember if there is an antenna attached to the panel that that goes to. Been a minute since I had mine apart.

There are several of these antennas in the vehicle in different locations. PATS utilizes these including the FOB.

Where can I find illustrations like this?
They're indispensable for the DIY folk. These are part of the service manual (workshop manual). It can be purchased stand-alone or temporary on-line access can be purchased. 72 hour access is ~$30.

https://www.motorcraftservice.com/Purchase/ViewProduct

via the on-line access you also get diagnostic tools and are able to access your vehicles logged codes.
