Is there a reason most people here are choosing the mesh JTOPs over the more waterproof canvas option? I just ordered the canvas version this week for added protection in case it rains and now I'm getting nervous after reading through this thread and finding myself seemingly on an island alone lol

I was considering canvas, but then figured when I have the hardtop off I want to feel the openness.

I was worried the canvas option would feel too much like having the top on still.

I installed the J Tops last week. I like it a lot, no gaps when the hard top is off. Feels like a sturdy and well built product.

I also noticed today it keeps the heat lower in the vehicle when the hard top is installed overtop the sun shade. The heat that emanates from the hard top roof when in the sun is less.

Mesh has been more common/popular, particularly on the budget side of the market. For this summer I went with this JTOPs solid top (desert sun can be too much for mesh) and I have liked it so far. Reviewed here though I can't seem to find the tread at the moment...

If you're that concerned about the Velcro then just throw some vinyl down before it or some paint protection film and adhere the Velcro to that instead.

Uses all existing holes and mounts.
you have to put the coasters/pucks under the existing bolts, but that’s it.

Nice find. But that isn’t a Raptor. Without the crossbar any mesh top is fine and dandy.
