White plastic rectangle thing

While taking apart the rear cargo panel to access the subwoofer, I see this white plastic rectangle attached (not my picture but similar). There is a large round magnet on the other side of that white piece that keeps it connected to the metal panel. Fits into a round depression in the metal panel and stuck on very well. Any idea what this is ?? Thanks.

likely something for assembly. a rest pad for some tooling or a fixture?
