My driver side mounting cover above the windshield went missing. Before I order a new one and have it paint matched, I wanted to see if anyone here has removed theirs for a light bar or roof rack and wants to sell.

Just an option, they sell the replacements but only in gloss black and carbon fiber as far as I know. If you’re handy you could always get color matched spray paint and clear and save some $$$. Hopefully you get one somebody doesn’t need.

@debaser, DM me with your mailing address and I'll send you one, carbonized gray, gratis. Maybe a Ford-sourced rattle can of Oxford White is available?

Or maybe there's an Oxford White mall crawler you can find...:teehee:

Hey stay away from mine! Odd that someone took yours but perhaps they had the same issue and decided to just take yours?

My Trailrax (which uses the accessory mounting point, there) is more than just a cargo conveyance. It has the 40-inch Heretic trail light array, two Heretic dome lights (the wheel well "rock lights," but with an operational button) on each side for camp illumination, plus a Heretic rock light (in amber) on the very rear, which 1) is operated from my accessory switching ("#4") for when I'm in an off-road convoy, but is also wired to my reverse lights, for a little extra "presence" when I'm backing out of a space.
Next I plan to get an upgraded Sirius antenna up there.
A lot of wiring going up there!
What all this means is: my TRMX roof rack is very, very permanent. I don't think I'm ever going to be putting the accessory-ready cover back on.
Ever.

If you still want an Oxford white panel, I will sell mine, I took them off for the lightbar. Make me an offer and we can make it happen.

Don't be afraid of a little contrasting color there. Also - if you put a ball of plumbers putty underneath it will keep them from blowing off on the highway and is non-permanent.

I just bought the TrailRax TRMR rack for Black Friday. Just curious, when you wired all your lights and antenna, how did you bring the wires back inside the truck?

Sorry, I can't help you there. I developed a good relationship with a tech at my dealer. I always ask for him when I get service, even if I wait, and I hire him on his own time to do things (mostly electrical) I can't. He wired my 40-inch Heretics, my Heretic ditch lights, Heretic dome lights (rock lights, but with a button on the lens) which we put on the side rails of my TRMX, an amber chase light on the rear of my TRMX (wired to a aux switch + my reverse lights), and my ThorsLightning hard-mounted compressor. A little compulsive, am I not?

The wires on the TRMX (other than the Heretic 40-inch trail lights) are carefully placed inside the interior-facing curve(s) of the TRMX side rails and zip-tied. My guy solders everything and then encases each splice in shrink-tubing. He runs them to the joint between the left (driver's) middle roof panel and the rear clamshell. It works for me, as I very rarely take my roof panels off.

If I knew how much electrical work I'd have up on my TRMX, and know I'll never be removing that rear "clamshell" #3 roof panel, I'd have drilled a hole in the clamshell roof I'd have drilled a hole i the roof just inside the rear TRMX support brace, fitted a grommet into it with a 1/2"-long sleeve, run my wires through there to the truck's interior, and then sealed the grommet with plumber's putty.

Ask your dealer's service manager if any of his guys are looking for cash work. If you're handy, there's plenty of on-line YouTubes and directions. Start with a search on this forum!

And good luck!
