@LarryBirdsFace -
I’m looking at the KC’s now. They are 7” tall. In order to make them level with the soft top, the bottom of the mounting bracket would need to be well below the windshield frit which makes the mounting hardware visible from the driver’s seat….which would be aesthetically unpleasant. The overall shape of the KC (while reminiscent of a lovable classic) would reintroduce the wind noise that we completely defeated by using the streamlined Rigid D-SS.
There are numerous methods for throwing a shit ton of high quality light a long way these days. The overall concept of clean, low profile brackets for small but powerful “light pods” fits the OEM quality design language we are after, rather than mounts for full size lights over 4” tall like these KC’s for example.
