My WolfBox mirror had bad vibration issues. I’m not the only one experiencing this. The solution is to shim between the back of the mirror and the Wolfbox OEM mount. I found a piece of scrap Velcro in my toolbox that was the perfect size and thickness. No more vibration. I really like this product now.

isn't that the heatsink?
Possibly. The vibration I was experiencing was bad enough to affect the videos the mirror camera took. A left / right oscillation. The shaking made the mirror and display unusable. This is an engineering flaw in the design and I’m hoping Wolfbox will be addressing it.

@WolfBox let us know your solution when you come up with a fix. Hopefully we will get parts retroactively.

i would assume that the heatsink assembly is attached with the front camera assembly etc, if its from it shaking, i would probably get 2 thick pieces of thermal pads, and just sandwich it with the corners of the heatsink to the mount, so it still gets airflow.

Update. It’s for sure a heat sink. The backplate that the mirror arm mounts too is flimsy and allows a lot of motion. Great suggestion to try a thermal pad, that’s something I did not know about. I had to use the same size and thickness so airflow is still blocked. Maybe it won’t overheat with the pad though. I’m still hoping for a (better) replacement part sometime in the future. It took two layers of pad to stiffen it up.

Interestingly I installed mine today. Zero wobble. Installed mine with loctite on the screws. Your backplate looks damaged where the screws mount .

I didn’t have the screws in it. (That connect the backplate to the mirror.)

I recommend just extra thick pieces at just the sides and leaving the heatsink mostly exposed.

The flex I’m seeing is where the arm mounts. If your suggestion doesn’t work, i might be able to use a smaller piece in the center. I have seen other posts about vibration issues, I’m very curious what’s different about my setup compared to folks who are not having problems. At 75 MPH, with my top off and windows down, the vibration is very bad. I have Fox 3.0 suspension, the ride is a little stiff.

Maybe you can put the cushion on the four corners where the screws are fixed, and around the heatsink, not covering it.

I don't seem to have any significant vibration issues. I will say that when first mounting the wolfbox custom mount I did have some vibration but found quickly that the mount was not completely seated to the windshield tab causing the the set screw to come loose. It also has so many wires attached to the the top of the mirror I press it up until it hits the plastic trim above and this seems to give the mirror some extra support.

Video of the vibration without stiffening the mount.

EDIT: The view in the mirror was much worse than the recording. Hard to tell which lanes the cars were in.
