Blue Ox 10k Avail tow bar BX7420 (2" receiver)
Blue Ox Towing Accessory kit BX88308
Stay-In-Play Duo Brake System perm. mount. Main control unit mounted under hood, switch mounted left rear inside.

The Black D-Ring Loops come with the Capable Bumper. I replaced those with the Orange D-RING plates from Ford. Then I bought the Tow Bar adapters from Curt.

Hi again Tony. Finally acquired all of my parts, and will start the install next week (with the aid of my buddy's jack and garage ). Quick question, on the Bronco tail lighting for flat towing, do you know if your installer put in separate bulbs, or diodes in the factory wiring? My Blue Ox kit has both, and want to plan for the best option when I pull everything apart.

Don't know, but I will say that the brake lights appear to be as bright when towing versus not towing. Guessing, I would say the diodes.

Am leaning the diode way. Just not comfortable with drilling holes in the tail light assemblies, and I'm a pretty good wirer...

Thanks for the advice Tony. Just spent around 2 weeks on my buddy's lift. Completed the blue ox adapter installation, back light to front connector wiring, and while I was at it, put some fog lights in. I used some advice from the forum here and can turn on the fog lights with a factory switch I replaced.

I got a good deal on a Blue Ox Patriot manual install brake system, so I went with this. Can see how your permanent install unit would be very appealing though. Wish me luck as I move on to connecting to the RV next!

your set up looks great, trying to do the same to my MY22 BL with the capable bumper; tried to do a quick sawp with the performance Rings but it looked like the steel trim retainer was getting in the way and the plastic trim wouldnt fit in with the top?

Did you have to snip/trim any of the Plate Facing plastic trim or steel trim mounts to get the Orange D ring plates to fit?

Tony, Got the stay and play duo setup you (and others) recommended, but before I go all "Edward Scissor hands" on the brake vacuum lines, I was hoping you could get me a picture of how you connected yours.

I saw they created a part/adapter that connects for some ford engines, did you use that or just splice directly into the Brake booster lines?
