Are those tow straps or recovery straps? They say both. I have some GA shackles and a hitch receiver, so I'm not knocking their products, but they should really clarify. Two different purposes o_O
Both look like tow straps to me.
It could be a little clearer but Gear America represents them to be for recovery purposes.

From Gear America's website on the product. https://www.gearamerica.com/collect...trap-4-x-30-40-000-lbs-20-tons-rated-capacity

It's going to be something I hope I never need, but want to have just in case. I don't want to be the douche with a Bronco that doesn't have any recovery equiptment to help someone out of a ditch. Saw it twice on the side of the highway yesterday in this crazy DFW weather. I wanted to help, but had no recovery rope. I do already have shackles. Just haven't found a rope that isn't pricy as hell.
Pro Tip: Attach your end to your vehicle, then hand their end to them to attach it anywhere they choose to. That way, when their car breaks, it's not on you. You just look to make sure it's not gonna damage your rope...

…….and when part of their vehicle is propelled into yours, then who is at fault?

I ended up going with a 3"×20' recovery strap and a couple of soft shackles that had good reviews on amazon. Spent about $50 total. I already have bow shackles installed. Should be enough for an emergency side of the road situation.

After all the advice posted here, your take away was that you should buy a tow strap for recoveries?

Make sure you know the difference between a tow strap and a recovery strap.

I was like you and wanted something just in case. Pick this up

ALL-TOP 100% Nylon Recovery... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07597WW53?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Little did I know a week later I had to use it. My Wrangler got stuck, totally turtled in water. Use this rope attached to another Jeep that sent it and popped me right out.

Prior to that two other Jeeps try to just pull slowly and didn't move at all.

I would recommend you NOT to attempt any recoveries if you have no recovery experience, you could get injured, injure someone else, or break someone's vehicle badly, all this IMHO, of course.
