What tools did you need for this? I saw another post with a list of the Torx bits used - were the correct Torx bits in the Ford kit or did you need Torx plus as well? Anything you ended up using that you didn't initially have on hand?I lucked out on a freak 76 deg. Friday afternoon! Install wasn't too bad, until I got to the bow mounting. Got a little upside down and had to go back and fix it, as the illustrations could have been better. There was also a couple brackets toward the end that really kicked my ass, because about 12 screws were fighting me. That part took entirely too long, and if I did it again I'd run a tap through the brackets to clean them up. At the time I just let them kick my ass, and not sure how bad they'll be to remove. I did it all myself, so from MIC top removal to laying everything out, inventory of items, going over the instructions to final gasp and beer was about 5 hours. Not exactly the hour and a half they claim . A helper would have made it faster, for sure. Also proper fitting screws
Nice to see a 2 door WT getting built, maybe there is hope this year after all! Congrats by the way!!
Thanks! I'll check it out.Have somebody sit in the back seat and shine a light above the roll bar on the right toward the front where the shell and front top meet. Stand outside and see how much light gets out. My seal is embarrassingly bad there... I can see the actual flashlight lens, not just the light! It needs to go to the dealer at some point but only leaks when pressure washing so it hasn't been a priority.
Alright, alright!
Yep. Thats it. Not as bad as yours but I see light on the passenger side and none on the driver side.Have somebody sit in the back seat and shine a light above the roll bar on the right toward the front where the shell and front top meet.
