I have installed mine and I used the 6.5 inch Focal’s. I had to use a dremel to make them fit. So I can almost guarantee that a 6.75 inch speaker will not work.

I might modify the speaker pod to fit the center protruding speaker

So it only fits flush sitting speakers? I was going to go with a 6.75” speaker to match my kick panel speakers, but it sounds like if that’s going to work, modification will be required?

Thanks for sharing this. I’m going to test fit my 6.75” Kicker KS this weekend and will report back.

Only picture I have prior to install but you can see how much the tweeter sticks up and in my case it contacted the speaker grille hard enough I punched a hole in it.

I installed my Mabett 6.5” pods & speakers today. My observations:

1.) These make a big difference over the 4” speakers.
2.) They fit 6.75” speakers. I used Kicker KS 6.75” and they fit like a glove.
3.) Easy to install, but still takes some time. Allow an hour.
4.) Can be installed without removing the hardtop. You just have to use the 90 degree bronco Allen wrench that came in the tool kit and remove the two screws closest to the top of the roll bar instead of the other two screws further down like the instructions say. Then once you get the pods off you can easily transfer over the brackets. It certainly would be easier to remove the hardtop, but maybe save the trouble if you want.

They did confirm it works with 2 or 4 door models. I ordered a set the other day, so we will see how it goes!

Their webpage at the bottom says does NOT conform to 2dr. Wander why they are telling you that?

They changed their website and removed all information saying it would fit both after I contacted them and told them that it did not.
