Can you still remove the back part of the hard top and use this kind of like a bimini cover as well? That would be really handy.

It attaches at 3 points to the hard top. That said, two of those points are also into the frame but the center point would be without its attachment point. Might be a support issue. Let me know if this works. Can you post a couple pictures from top looking down and from side of where the hoops pivot over the B pillar. I want to see what the bolt on looks like.
@smast Yes, with the Skyrider, once you unlatch it from the windshield you have to fold it back from the outside of the Bronco. One thing I love about my Bestop Sunrider (had one on my Wrangler, and it was the first thing I bought for my Bronco) is the ability to open and close it from the driver's seat at a traffic light in seconds. Do you have to get out of the Bronco and flip this back/forward from the side of the vehicle to open it and close it?
Although I would not question what you say on the matter, I did try it again from seated in the vehicle just before you posted and I could not do it. I would need some loooong arms. I definitely have to do it from the outside.@smast Yes, with the Skyrider, once you unlatch it from the windshield you have to fold it back from the outside of the Bronco.

The first is where the front of the clam shell attaches to the frame.
Thanks.@smast Yes, with the Skyrider, once you unlatch it from the windshield you have to fold it back from the outside of the Bronco.

@Dads_bronze_bronco I'll share your feedback with team! Thank you! Thanks.
Now see, how hard would it be for @Bestop_Team to form those B Pillar brackets such that I could take off the BRaptor brace, put on the Bestop mount, and bolt the BRaptor base on top with the bolts running through the Bestop mount?
But no, they had to have that little raised part with the rubber bumper in the middle, and there is still no soft top solution for the Bronco Raptor.
Why not have the brace underneath the Skyrider bracket? Not saying it'd work today but might be an easier appropriation.Thanks.

Hi Crystal - Do you think it could still be left in place and remove the back part of the hard top for a bimini effect?@smast Yes, with the Skyrider, once you unlatch it from the windshield you have to fold it back from the outside of the Bronco.

Unfortunately not, the Skyrider attaches to the rear part of the Hardtop at 3 points so it can't be removed.Hi Crystal - Do you think it could still be left in place and remove the back part of the hard top for a bimini effect?
@Jo8n the Skyrider looks amazing!! Thank you for sharing your pictures!I was surprised to receive it 2 days ago as FedEx had said it would come on Tuesday but it made an early surprise for my wife.
One thing I should tell you about the install: if you're borrowing a garage to install this in (raining here), use one with the highest ceiling you can find.
The limb risers came in handy.
@Moto26 the rear portion of the Hardtop has to stay on, the Skyrider has 3 different attachment points to it. Sorry about that!I'm very intrigued by the idea of buying just a rear hard top section from Ford (or an aftermarket company, if it was compatible), and then installing a SkyRider. It would be the best of both worlds!
We love being able to open and close our soft top in seconds, but we hardly ever open it all the way back, because it's a pain in the ass. You have to slide the (often dirty) windows out, somehow store them safely, and then reinstall them when you go to put the top up. Plus, when the top is all the way back you can't see out the center mirror, and on top of that our rear window is almost always dirty because cleaning it is a delicate task.
With the SkyRider/rear clamshell combo we would have that easy open-air capability, combined with solid rear glass that's easy to clean, and a rear hatch that's easy to open. Not to mention, the ability to throw a roof rack on when you need one.
@Jo8n is it possible to remove the rear section and leave the SkyRider mounted? Kinda like a bimini top?
