Installed - SSV Works rear pods w/ Kicker speakers

I'm considering this. Waiting to see Metra's price. Minor hold up, I am no audiophile id like to explore the ability to enable the bass in the rear pods. If that's possible id say and amp would not be needed? I did the forscan to tell the bronco it had a sound bar but I have not noticed anything even with replacing the back speakers. When I installed my sub i remember tapping into the bass input in the kick panel i'm wondering if the same is possible for the rear.

I have these but haven’t installed yet. Did you have to remove the hard top? It appears to me the bolts on top are too close to the roof to install it with it on.

These definitely make a noticeable difference, even unamplified. The Kicker speakers are substantially more clear and full sounding. I'd like to get an amp eventually, but I'm no audio expert and I'm not sure what works with the B&O system.

They also look way cooler!

In this video, the drivers side is a Kicker and the pass. side is stock.

Install notes -
Pop the speaker cover off the stock pods and unplug the speaker before unbolting the pod.
If you have a hardtop you'll need a really stubby torx/ratchet combo to get the top screws out. It's tight but doable.

It'll fit the 2 door also, you just need to do a little modification with the upper bracket.
I bought a set when they were still claiming it worked for all broncos including 2 door, needless to say, they lied and probably didn't even try and fit it on a 2 door.

What kind of mod? These seem like a great option to plug and play a decent upgrade for reasonable cost and without having to tear up your truck. But I'm an imbecile so any mod beyond drilling a hole or 2, I'm out.

How Clean and well made do you think these SSV pods are vs the other in the Market?

I know Metra is coming out with some to but I have not seen them yet.
